International students who are accepted into the Shepherds programme will need to apply for a South African student visa. Details are available at the South African Department of Home Affairs website or at a South African consulate or embassy.

When considering the financial costs of studying at Shepherds, international students should keep in mind that a student visa limits the amount of hours they are allowed to work to 20 hours per week.

An essential part of the Shepherds programme is mentorship in a local church. Therefore, international students will be required to attend an approved church in Gauteng during their training. We will assist our international students in this regard. Read more about mentorship here.
